Artist stuff on the portfolio thing.
What skills does and artist need to have blah blah blah?Humans share a supernatural connection with the world around them that, by nature, must be shared with others. In this sense, humans are artists, burning with the desire to show others see what they see, and each unique perspective has a distinct ability to relate to others. I consider execution and perspective as the single most important skill for artist to have.
Experience with a work of art blah blah profound impact?
In the spring of 2007, I attended a photography workshop that investigated narratives for an exhibition, ‘The Festival of The Photograph’. I chose to work with polaroid transfers, not only because I like them, but because they were a different medium from what most people were working with. When I was younger, I discovered polaroid transfers as one of the first forms of photography I felt I was actually good at. I remember struggling to create images to my liking until this one incident when I peeled back one image, stepped back and realized I had created something that sparked an intense emotion. I had never created something like that. I had always dreamt that I’d create something bigger than myself, and with this image I felt chemical reactions spark within me. I had created something bigger than myself. Finally.
What else can you tell us/ how good can you make yourself sound?
I am not in art school to create images that are visually perfect or astounding. I am here to continue exploring this concept of executing emotion, and hopefully evolve in my understanding of that which is bigger than myself. I have always had a curious mind and am content in decision to study art and later pursue it professionally. While academics can sometimes evoke inhibitions of inadequacy, I don’t feel that same tension when creating images. I am able to find answers to my own questions, while coming across new questions through investigating and exploring art.
